The
varsity boys golf team finished 4th in the Sea View League,
narrowly missing third place on the basis of the one-stroke loss
to Newport Harbor on April 19th.
In
Sea View League Individual finals at San Luis Rey Downs, Tom
Richeson led the Wolverines with a very consistent
38-38-37-37--150. Ryan Oriza shot 158, followed by Neil Anderson
with 160 and Conor Moore with 163.
I RVINE, CA ...
April 26 -- Tom Richeson fired a one-under-par 35 on the Oak Creek Course in
Irvine to gain medalist honors, and the varsity defeated Irvine
High School 198-223.
NEWPORT
BEACH, CA ...
April 19 -- Despite a 37 from Tom Richeson, the
Wolverines fell to Newport Harbor on the Big Canyon course by a
single shot - 208-207. Ouch!
ALISO
VIEJO, CA ... March 30 -- In a three-way match, Aliso
defeated Irvine 200-251 and CdM (non league) 200-204 at El Niguel.
Tom Richeson fired a par 36, and Ryan Oriza and Conor
Moore each shot 40's to lead the team.

VIEJO, CA ... March 28 -- The Wolverines lost to Foothill at
Tustin Ranch, 209-200. Tom Richeson, Ryan Oriza
and Neil Anderson led the Wolverines, with a 39 and two
40's, respectively.

VIEJO, CA ... March 23 -- ANHS won the tie breaker, and
thereby defeated Newport Harbor on the Aliso Viejo golf course
192-192. Ryan Oriza let the team with 37, Tom
Richeson and Shane Lyznicki were close behind with
38's, Neil Anderson shot 39 and Cameron MacDonald
shot 40. Playing the sixth slot, Conor Moore's 44 won the
tie-breaker by one stroke - they don't get any closer than that!
IRVINE, CA ... March
21-- Shane Lyznicki was medalist with a par 36, and Aliso
Niguel defeated Woodbridge 205-216 on the Rancho San Joaquin
course. This evens the Wolverine's league record at 1-1.
LAGUNA
NIGUEL, CA ... March 16 -- League play began on a sour note,
as Laguna Hills bested ANHS 203-216 on the El Niguel layout.
Tom Richeson and Conor Moore each recorded 39's, and
Cameron MacDonald a 40 to lead the Wolverines.
LAGUNA
NIGUEL, CA ... March 9 -- Tom Richeson again led the
Wolverines, as they defeated Peninsula at home, 215-218.
Richeson fired a one-over par 37. Shane Lyznicki and Conor
Moore each shot 41's.
SAN
CLEMENTE, CA ... March 7 -- Eric Irwin and Tom Richeson
each fired 39's on the tough Talega course, but the team fell to
San Clemente, 207-202.
NEWPORT
BEACH, CA ... March 2 -- Tom Richeson led the Wolverines to a
close 199-203 victory over Corona del Mar at the Newport Beach
Country Club. Tom's 37 earned him co-medalist honors with
David Su of CdM. Shane Lyznicki posted a 38.
LAGUNA
NIGUEL, CA... Feb. 28, 2006 -- The Wolverines opened their 2006
season with mixed results in a three-way meet at El Niguel Country
Club. They lost to San Clemente, 208-195, but defeated
Trabuco Hills 208-227. Tom Richeson was medalist in
that event with a 38.

JV
is 5-3 on season. Mike Miller shot 37's in two of the
matches, while Matt Heath had a 39 against Trabuco Hills,
and Chris Bridge fired 38 against THS and 39 against
Foothill.
JV
gets off to 4-1 start. Cameron MacDonald and Matt
Heath have led the JV to a quick 4-1 record through March
6th. Personal bests thus far on the season include a 40 by
Cameron against CdM, 41 by Brandon Matoba, 42's by Matt
Heath, Cris Bridge, Mike Miller and Brandon Gorman, and
43 by Wade Dossey. In this stretch, the Wolverines defeated
CdM twice, Trabuco Hills twice, and lost to San Clemente.
